LAKKI MARWAT (Kashmir English): Security forces have gunned down Indian -backed 13 Khawarijs in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The security forces launched a joint operation with law enforcement agencies in the Pahar Khel area of ​​Lakki Marwat district on intelligence inputs about the presence of Khawarij.

The statement said that during the operation, there was a heavy exchange of fire in which 10 Khawarij members were killed, and the security forces also recovered arms and ammunition while clearing the area.

The ISPR said that based on intelligence information, the second operation was carried out in Dera Ismail Khan, where the security forces killed 3 terrorists.

The slain terrorists were involved in attacks and target killings on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians.

Security forces are conducting a sanitization operation in the area to eliminate any possible hideouts of Indian-sponsored terrorists.

Earlier, seven Fitnat-ul-Khawarij terrorists were killed in effective operations by security forces in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on November 18 and 19, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Security forces conducted a targeted operation in Mohmand on credible information about the presence of Khawarij. During the operation, there was a fierce exchange of fire in which 4 Khawarij were killed, as per the ISPR.

Similarly, in another intelligence-based operation conducted in Lakki Marwat, security forces killed 2 Khawarij during an encounter. In addition, in the third encounter in Tank, another Khawarij was neutralized.
