BARKHAN (Kashmir English): The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Balochistan has said that 10 terrorists affiliated with Fitna-ul-Hindustan were killed during an intelligence-based operation in the Rara Sham area of Barkhan district on Saturday.
According to the CTD, the operation was launched following intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the area.
Officials said a large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered during the operation.
Two CTD personnel were reportedly injured during the operation, according to the information provided by the department.
Balochistan Home Affairs Adviser Babar Yousafzai said the bodies had been shifted to a hospital, where identification and other legal formalities were underway.
Security sources said that the operation was conducted under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3, with police and CTD personnel continuing efforts against terrorism in the province.
“The resolve of security forces to eliminate terrorists, their patrons and facilitators in Balochistan is unwavering,” sources added.
