NORTH WAZIRISTAN (Kashmir English): Security forces have killed seven terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Eidak area of North Waziristan, according to security sources.
The operation was conducted as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam framework.
According to sources, security forces acted on intelligence regarding the presence of militants and targeted their positions in the area. Several militant hideouts were also destroyed during the operation.
The action further restricted the militants’ ability to operate in the area, sources said. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for the successful operation and paid tribute to the personnel involved.
Naqvi described the security personnel as national heroes and commended their professional capabilities in targeting the militants.
He said the sacrifices and efforts of security forces personnel in the fight against terrorism were a source of pride for the nation.
The interior minister reaffirmed the government’s appreciation for security forces’ ongoing efforts against militancy and terrorism.
