RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): In the second match of the Pakistan T20 tri-series, Zimbabwe put up a brilliant performance and defeated Sri Lanka (ZIM vs SL) by 67 runs.
Zimbabwe scored 162/8 runs in the allotted 20 overs, with Sikandar Raza scoring 47 off 32 balls and Brian Bennett scoring 49 off 42 balls.
Sri Lanka were all out for just 95 runs while chasing. Captain Dasun Shanaka scored 34 runs off 25 balls while the other batsmen could not hold on for long.
Zimbabwe’s Richard Ngarava took two wickets, and Burl took one. Brad Evans bowled brilliantly, taking three wickets.
Zimbabwe controlled the match from the beginning and did not allow Sri Lanka to score.
Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza and Brian Bennett’s batting and Brad Evans’ bowling were outstanding in the match.
With this victory, Zimbabwe has strengthened its position in the series.
During the match, the Sri Lankan team lost several wickets early and missed the opportunity to score big. The Zimbabwean team played well in every department and impressed the fans.
