LAHORE (Kashmir English): Zaman Khan, the famous national fast bowler from Azad Kashmir, suffered a shoulder injury in the National T20 tournament, which has made his participation in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) doubtful.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, Zaman Khan was injured in the match between Peshawar and Faisalabad. His shoulder joint was dislocated.
PCB has instructed Zaman Khan to report to the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. The Pakistan Cricket Board’s medical panel will formulate Zaman Khan’s recovery and rehab plan.
The Cricket Board has said that Zaman Khan’s fitness recovery may take 4 to 6 weeks. It is worth noting that the fast bowler was part of Rawalpindi’s squad in the upcoming PSL.
It is to be remembered that Zaman Khan belongs to Chakswari Tehsil of Mirpur and has represented Pakistan in many international matches.
Zaman Khan comes from a poor family. Initially, his father wanted him not to play cricket and he was admitted to a madrasa.
Zaman Khan also memorized the Quran by heart and continued his passion for playing cricket. His uncle encouraged him to play cricket, after which he started playing for various local clubs.
In the beginning of his career, Zaman Khan gained real fame after his good performance in the Kashmir Premier League. After that, Lahore Qalandars gave him an opportunity in the Pakistan Super League.
In the PSL, he gained a lot of fame, especially for his yorkers in the death overs.
