ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The greatest and most remarkable part of the survey 2026 is the increasing faith of the young generation in the Pakistan Army.

The figures state that in 2026, the military’s performance got an average rating of 3.36, while in 2025 and 2024 the figures were 2.78 and 2.57, respectively.

This means that the military is the only state institution that has gained the highest increase in public trust. Besides this, the trust in the judiciary, police, parliament, and civil service has also improved.

Nevertheless, the politicians still occupy the lowest position as far as the public’s trust is concerned. The survey also states that overall contentment with the existing government rose to 40% in 2026 from 27% in the previous year.

Besides, the results also depict that the youth look up to the provincial governments as performing better than the federal government, with 43% being satisfied at the provincial level and 38% at the federal level.

The PTI’s popularity diminishes by 7% when compared with last year, whereas the PML-N gets a 9% increase in support. Moreover, 24% of youth are still undecided, which could be a decisive factor in determining the political scenario in the near future.

During the last ten years, 47% of youth attested the development projects to PML-N, while 46% gave the same acknowledgment to PTI, suggesting a very close competition between the two major parties. Political analysts agree that a clear, intense, and competitive political battle has started among the youth.

The survey also points out that the youth see the government’s prime concern to be education, healthcare, social protection, infrastructure, and economic reforms, which over 60% of respondents rated as equally important. However, the economic pressure remains the primary obstacle, with 70% of the youth identifying unemployment as the key issue.
