SAMAHNI (Kashmir English): In a tragic incident, a young man drowned while bathing in a drain in Samahni in AJK’s Bhimber district on Saturday afternoon.
As per details, the 23-year-old man, identified as Farooq Khan, was a labourer from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Upper Dir. The nearby people tried to rescue him, but he sadly drowned and lost his life.
The body was taken to Civil Hospital Samahni, where doctors confirmed his death.
As soon as the incident was reported, local authorities, including Chairman Town Committee Samahni Raja Zulqarnain and SHO Samahni police station, promptly reached the spot.
The police completed necessary legal proceedings, and arrangements were made for the departure of the deceased’s body. The local community expressed regret and sympathy for the family.
