ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has announced that Youm-e-Tashakur will be observed across Pakistan on Friday, April 10th, 2026.
The reason for this situation exists because Iran and the United States established a ceasefire, which Pakistan supported as a mediating nation. The Prime Minister asked citizens to unite in prayer for successful treaty negotiations.
The Cabinet members today also praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his contributions to the peace process. The audience showed their appreciation of him through desk thumping.
The world has recognized both Pakistan’s and Field Marshal’s achievements, which resulted in positive worldwide reactions to the ceasefire. The UN Secretary General António Guterres has announced through his spokesperson that he welcomes the US-Iran two-week ceasefire agreement.
He has called on all involved parties to establish long-lasting peace solutions that will bring stability to the Middle East region. The German Chancellor, along with Friedrich Merz and the UN Secretary General, both expressed their approval of the two-week ceasefire agreement, which the US and Iran established.
The parties announced that they need to achieve permanent peace in order to end hostilities permanently during the upcoming days. The ceasefire received praise from the Malaysian Prime Minister, who also recognized Pakistan’s contributions to its achievement.
He congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his dedicated diplomatic work, which led to the vital ceasefire agreement. I express our deep appreciation to Pakistan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif through our sincere congratulations for their diplomatic work, which created this moment.
He posted on X that Pakistan had achieved this moment through its diplomatic work. Malaysia offers its full support to this endeavor and will work with others who share this mission, according to PM Ibrahim.
