MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has emphasised that Youm-e-Takbeer symbolizes national strength and unity as the nation observed the 27th anniversary of its nuclear tests.

In his special message on the day, the premier reiterated that Youm-e-Takbeer is a day of greatness and dignity for Pakistan on which the country’s flag was raised with all its splendor.

He said that Pakistan’s nuclear explosions on May 28, 1998, not only provided the country with impregnable defensive security but also bolstered the morale of the Kashmiri people.

“Youm-e-Takbeer teaches us that if the nation is united, the leadership is courageous, and the objectives are clear, then no power in the world can bend it,” the PM stated.

Referring to Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos, the Prime Minister said that even today, Pakistan’s forces are standing as a steel wall in front of the enemy’s nefarious intentions. “The operation is a continuation of the same defensive thought that began on May 28, 1998,” he added.

Moreover, the prime minister said that despite India’s provocations and continuous aggression, Pakistan always prioritizes peace but maintains defense preparedness, demonstrating responsibility rather than weakness.

“The message of Youm-e-Takbeer is that the desire for peace is not a weakness but an expression of responsibility,” the PM message wrote.

The premier paid tribute to former Prime Minister of Pakistan Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed for starting the nuclear program, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for the nuclear explosions, the then military leadership, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, and all the scientists who played an important role in making the country a nuclear power.
