BEIJING (Kashmir English): Chinese company Xpeng has introduced the G7 SUV electric vehicles that can travel for hundreds of miles on a single charge.
The Xpeng G7 SUV has a 55.8 kWh battery pack and a small petrol engine, for which a 60-liter fuel tank has been provided in the vehicle.
This vehicle can travel up to 1058 miles non-stop on electricity and petrol.
Unlike traditional hybrid systems that use an electric motor and small battery packs, the G7 relies on a battery pack and petrol engine that also charges the batteries during the vehicle’s journey.
According to the company, this vehicle can travel the distance from Beijing to Shanghai or, say, Karachi to Lahore (approximately) on a single charge without stopping.
Along with the G7, the company has also introduced the P7 Plus sedan, which also uses super extended range technology like the SUV.
The company said that the battery of this sedan can travel up to 267 miles on a single charge, while the total range is 963 miles.
The price of the G7 SUV has been set at 195,800 yuan or Rs 7,852,380, while the P7 Plus will have to spend 180,800 yuan or Rs 7250819 to buy it.
