CALIFORNIA (Kashmir English): Xiaomi has officially announced the release of its 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max phones in China later this month.

In an attempt to follow the naming trend of Apple, the firm has chosen to completely bypass the number 16.

The rear look of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is now unveiled courtesy of a brief image shared by the official Weibo account of the company.

The image supports previous leaks featuring a secondary rear screen, further fueling rumors about the one-of-a-kind design of the device.

The post was immediately taken down, hinting at either an accidental post or part of a deliberate teaser campaign.

All three models, 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, are likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s newly confirmed Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.

The nomenclature was recently confirmed following weeks of rumors.

The 17 and 17 Pro are likely to be the same size, but the Pro model would have better camera features and possibly an improved screen.

The 17 Pro Max is said to have a larger body and more features, as seen with Apple’s “Pro Max” line.
