ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Users across Pakistan are facing difficulties using X, formerly known as Twitter, since afternoon. The twitter services have been down across the nation making it difficult for the users to access the social media platform.
Users are having trouble getting on Twitter on both their mobile phones and desktops. The disruption reportedly started around 4-5 pm on Saturday, and citizens have been unable to get on Twitter, even with VPNs.
Down Detector, a website that monitors internet downtimes, received several complaints of Twitter being down around 4 pm in Pakistan.
However, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has not given any reason for the outage, and nobody knows why Twitter is down.
This is not the first time that Pakistan has experienced Twitter outrage, as Twitter has been down for extended periods in Pakistan before reigniting discussions of internet censorship and restrictions by government entities.
