RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): In a recent press conference on key security of Pakistan, the Director General of Inter Service Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, stated that several important measures have been taken by the Pakistan Army to protect Pakistan from terrorism.
In his opening remarks, the DG ISPR said that the purpose of the media briefing was to give a comprehensive overview of counter-terrorism measures taken in the past year.
This year, 5400 incidents of terrorism occurred, and 193 terrorists were killed in 2021. 597 security forces were martyred. That is, three were martyred behind one terrorist.
A spokesperson for the Pakistan Army says that these terrorists are Khawarij. They are the tribulations of Hindustan; incidents of terrorism are increasing across the country. Last year, 75175 intelligence-based operations were conducted.
The state and the people got a clarification on terrorism. Khawarij has nothing to do with Islam and Pakistan; the state’s stance against terrorism is clear.
He said that the state is committed to counter-terrorism, has taken important steps to counter-terrorism, the state has a clear stance against terrorism, the world has appreciated Pakistan’s steps against terrorism.
The spokesperson for the Pakistan Army said that incidents of terrorism are increasing in the country. The US left behind $7.2 billion in the latest weapons in Afghanistan.
There were 5397 terrorist incidents, of which 3811 occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 27 suicide attacks were carried out, 16 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 10 in Balochistan, and one in Islamabad.
Women were used in 2 suicide attacks. There is a politically favorable atmosphere for terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. All political parties agree on the National Action Plan.
Last year was a historic and fruitful year in the war against terrorism. The stronghold of Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna India is in Afghanistan. All terrorist organizations are in Afghanistan and are being nurtured.
DG ISPR said that the Afghan group made three promises in Doha, not one of which has been fulfilled. The Afghan group had promised to eradicate terrorism from Afghan soil.
Additionally, the DG ISPR also showcased videos of the Afghan terrorist that were involved in attacks across Pakistan this year. While concluding the press conference, the DG ISPR added that ”We will win the war against terrorism.
