MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The recent floods in Pakistan have severely affected the agricultural sector of Pakistan. The farmers in Punjab were the most affected, which has caused an increase in vegetable and fruit prices across Pakistan

The residents of Azad Kashmir have also been affected by inflation; the prices of daily necessities, including fruits and vegetables, have skyrocketed, causing a burden on the poor.

In Rawalakot, the divisional headquarters of Poonch, the prices of vegetables and fruit have triple the original prices. The price of tomatoes per kg has reached Rs 250 to 300, while the prices of other vegetables and fruits have also doubled.

Citizens and traders expressed concern and said that self-induced inflation has increased the problems of the common man.

He has demanded that steps be taken to control inflation and issue an official rate list daily so that some relief can be provided to the public.
