MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has announced that the Sehat Sahulat program has been revived. Under this program, deserving and eligible citizens will be able to get free and quality medical facilities in government and private panel hospitals.
According to officials, through this program, patients will be provided free treatment, medicines, and diagnostic tests in case of admission to the hospital, which will reduce the financial burden of expensive treatment, and the public will get timely health facilities.
Regarding the program, the concerned officials said that lakhs of citizens will benefit from it, and it will be helpful in bringing significant improvements in the health sector. The public has been specially requested to trust only official sources for accurate information.
To know their eligibility and panel hospital, citizens can know their National Identity Card (CNIC) number by sending an SMS to 8500 without a dash. This initiative will allow people to immediately know whether they can benefit from this program or not, and in which hospital treatment is possible.
For more information and guidance, the government has also issued a helpline number 09009-0800, where citizens can seek guidance.
Officials stressed that this program is an important step to ensure the provision of health facilities, and it will have a positive impact on the lives of the people.
After the revival of the Sehat Sahulat program, it is expected that there will be a significant improvement in the health sector in different areas of Azad Kashmir, and quality treatment facilities will be available to the deserving people, which will help strengthen the health system in the country.
