LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Friday announced the date for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 in Punjab and issued directions for the arrangements.

According to the details, the test will take place on October 26, 2025, across twelve cities in the province under the supervision of UHS. More than 50,000 candidates are expected to participate this year.

The entry test was initially set for October 5, but was rescheduled in response to the challenges faced by students in flood-affected areas.

To ensure smooth arrangements, the Specialized Healthcare Department has directed deputy commissioners in all 12 districts to finalize preparations.

Key departments, including Rescue 1122, traffic police, and other law enforcement agencies, will be on high alert during the exam day to maintain order and assist candidates.

To ensure transparency, duties are being assigned to senior faculty members, and security clearance is underway for all examination staff. Background checks and security clearances are also being carried out for all examination staff involved.

For added security, the provincial government has submitted a request to the Home Department for the implementation of Section 144. This step aims to prevent any large gatherings or disruptions near exam centres. The authorities are committed to ensuring a peaceful and fair testing environment.

Overall, Punjab’s administration appears well-prepared to hold the MDCAT safely and efficiently. Candidates are advised to reach their respective centres on time and follow all rules to avoid any issues on the test day.
