CAIRO (Kashmir English): United States President Donald Trump on Monday thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, whom he introduced as “my favourite”, for their efforts in achieving peace in Gaza, among many other world leaders.
Trump made these remarks after the US and other mediators, including Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, signed a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas at the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit in Egypt.
After praising Shehbaz Sharif and COAS during his keynote address, Trump invited PM Shehbaz to deliver a special address at the ceremony.
Taking the podium, PM Shehbaz thanked Trump and the Egyptian president for their efforts in securing the peace deal.

The premier announced that Pakistan had officially nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, praising his decisive leadership and relentless pursuit of peace.
The prime minister concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to global peace and diplomacy, lauding international partners for supporting the ceasefire effort.
