CALIFORNIA (Kashmir English): Technology company Apple has also introduced the thinnest iPhone ever made by the company, known as the iPhone Air, with the iPhone 17.
This device is not only Apple’s thinnest device but also includes features such as a better display and a stronger design.
This device is only 5.6 mm wide and therefore does not have space for a camera, unlike previous devices.
It should be noted that Apple introduced several new products, including its flagship device, the iPhone 17, at the launch event held in California on Tuesday.
According to the company, the base model iPhone 17 will have a brighter and more scratch-resistant screen.
In addition, the device will have a new A19 processor chip, which will be made with three-nanometer (3nm) chipmaking technology and will have better capabilities for artificial intelligence features on the device.
The company also introduced a blood pressure monitor in its AirPods Pro wireless headphones and its latest smartwatch at the event.
iPhone Air Expected Price in Pakistan
According to the industry reports, the base 256 GB model is likely to cost between Rs 285,000 and Rs 315,000 (Non-PTA).
Mid-tier variants with 512 GB storage are projected to be priced at around 340,000 with estimates going as high as Rs 40000 depending on taxes and availability.
The high-end 1 TB edition could cross ₨ 400,000, influenced by dealer pricing and PTA approval costs.
iOS 26 Launching Date
Earlier, Apple officially announced that its new mobile operating system, iOS 26, will be released to general users on September 15.
This update will be available simultaneously with watchOS 26, macOS Tahoe, iPadOS 26, and VisionOS 26.
Experts say that some users may experience delays in downloading the update due to unusual server traffic on the day of release.
The most striking feature of this new operating system is its modern ‘liquid glass’ design that introduces transparent and glass-like elements, rounded-edged menus, and pop-out navigation.
Users using the beta version have described it as a fresh and beautiful change; however, some have also expressed concerns that the transparency and poor contrast may make it difficult to read text on the screen.
Apple has also added several new features to this update, including a live translation facility, ‘Live Translation’, dynamic Lock screen options, custom snooze durations, one-handed camera mode, a new design of the Phone app, customization of polls and backgrounds in Messages, and a new Apple Games experience.
