BAJAUR (Kashmir English): At least 12 terrorists were killed, and three soldiers were martyred as security forces foiled a suicide attack by Fitna al-Khawarij on a military checkpost in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday, security sources said.
Sources said that the operation against fleeing Khawarij is underway, adding that three Pakistan Army soldiers have been martyred while six armed personnel were injured.
Moreover, they said that two children were martyred, while dozens of civilians, including two children and a woman, were also seriously injured.
As per the details, the terrorists used an explosive-laden vehicle to hit the Malangi post of the security forces, which was successfully thwarted.
“Thanks to excellent security measures, the security forces suffered fewer losses,” security sources said.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
“These elements want to push the peace-loving people of Bajaur into terrorism, but the elimination of these Khawarij is certain,” they said.
“Operations under the National Action Plan will continue until the elimination of the last Khawarij,” sources said.
