MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): As the tension intensifies between Indian and Pakistan, the website of the Indian Army College of Nursing has been hacked by a hacktivist group, “Team Insane PK”.

The development came amid a growing diplomatic rift between India and Pakistan following the recent Pahalgam attack in Indian illegally occupied Kashmir, which resulted in the loss of 26 lives.

On Friday, the hackers took down the official Indian Army College of Nursing website while also putting a message, which stated, “YOU ARE HACKED!!! TEAM INSANE PK”

Indian media reported that Team Insane PK is believed to have been behind distributed denial of service (DDoS) and other types of cyber attacks on the Indian government and other websites, including those of companies and educational institutes.

They had also targeted government websites ahead of the 2023 G20 summit in India. The hacktivist group has been involved in significantly targeting Indian digital infrastructure, including cyberspace and businesses, since early 2023.

What made them gain notoriety, however, was a cyber attack in 2024 on the popular chain Burger Singh after it issued a promo code “FPak20”. The hackers changed portions of the chain’s website and also put up a digital graffiti wall.

NDTV, citing army sources, reported that the Army College of Nursing will have to seek the help of the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), which is the national nodal agency for responding to computer security incidents.
