ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Instagram has disabled the account of young Pakistani content creator and social media influencer Talha Ahmed, who rose to fame for his unique content related to the common citizens’ interests.
Ahmed shared a message from Instagram on his Facebook account, stating, “We suspended your account. 180 days left to appeal, or we’ll permanently disable your account.”
He captioned the post, “will come back even stronger, insha’Allah.”
Recently, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif awarded him a laptop and a cash prize of Rs1 million in recognition of his creative work. His sarcastic skits, particularly the ones on political figures and authorities, are highly popular.
In an interview with a private news outlet, Talha’s brother Taha Ahmed said that the account has been suspended because Talha is under the age of 13.
However, he denied these claims, saying that he is currently 16 years old. “We’ve immediately appealed to Instagram to review the decision, upon which they asked to submit documents to verify the creator’s age.”
Talha holds a staggering 867,000 followers on Instagram and 121,000 followers with 1.9 million likes on TikTok. On YouTube, he has 142,000 subscribers.
Meanwhile, fans of Talha have taken to his Facebook page to express disappointment over the sudden disappearance of his Instagram account.
