COLOMBO (Kashmir English): Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first in today’s T20 World Cup 2026 clash with India in Colombo with the captains not engaging in customary pre-match handshake at the toss.

The toss took place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo at approximately 6:30 PM local time (IST). Despite some earlier drizzle and cloudy conditions, the weather cleared sufficiently for the toss. The match will start at 7:00 PM local time.

Continuing the precedent from previous encounters, captains from both teams did not engage in the customary pre-match handshake at the toss.
