PESHAWAR (Kashmir English): The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has officially launched the E-Basta Project, looking to revolutionize the education system of the province using digital means.

As per an official notification, the project would substitute heavy school bags with tablets that would have all textbooks, lessons, lectures, and other educational material.

The tablets would be kept out of use for any other purpose during study hours to keep students focused on learning.

The project also includes a parental monitoring system. Parents can monitor their children’s study habits, such as time spent on each subject, lectures attended, and progress in preparation.

It will incorporate built-in functionalities to let parents give tests through the tablet and see results, further enhancing their role in the learning process.

The students and teachers will also have an advantage. They can use the website to submit assignments and homework, check preparation levels, and produce instant reports of student performance. This will enable teachers to detect areas of weakness and give students oriented guidance.

Government officials also stated that the project is intended to enhance digital literacy among young people, making them ready to face current technological requirements.

After it is launched, the E-Basta Project will enhance personal performance and the general quality of education in the province.
