ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply in various areas of Islamabad.

Citizens are advised to make alternative arrangements in advance to avoid any inconvenience caused by the disruption in gas supply.

According to a statement issued by SNGPL, repair work is being carried out to address a leak in a main gas pipeline in Islamabad, which will result in a temporary suspension of gas supply to several areas.

The statement specifies that gas supply will remain suspended from 9:00 PM on Monday, October 19, until 6:00 AM on Tuesday, October 20, in the following areas: Ghouri Town, Faizabad Bypass Road, High Estate Road, the stretch from Khanna Pul to Barah Mor, Swan Gaon, Gulberg Town, Shukrial, Rahman Garden, Burma Town, Garden Town, and adjacent localities.

Additionally, a temporary suspension of gas supply has been announced for Islamabad’s Sector G-7, Blue Area, and their surrounding vicinities. In these areas, gas will be unavailable from 10:00 PM on Monday until 6:00 AM on Tuesday.

SNGPL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make alternative arrangements for daily needs—such as cooking—to avoid any difficulties during the outage.

The gas company has further urged consumers to keep their gas appliances turned off during the suspension period to prevent any potential accidents once the gas supply is restored. Citizens have been advised to manage their requirements while keeping the scheduled timings for repair work in mind.
