KARACHI (Kashmir English): The Sindh Assembly has passed the resolution to support the ongoing legitimate struggle of the people of India Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and solidarity with oppressed Kashmiris.

The resolution also condemned the ongoing state-sponsored atrocities, illegal detentions, demographic changes, and restrictions on fundamental freedoms imposed on the innocent people of IIOJK.

According to the resolution, moved under Rule 256 of Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, stated, “Whereas 5th February is observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day across the World to reaffirm unwavering support for the legitimate struggle of the people of India Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) for their right to self-determination, as enshrined in the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.”

The House further recognised the immense sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people, who have endured decades of oppression, violence, and Human rights violations at the hands of Indian-occupied forces.

The resolution mentioned the previous activity of the house, stating that this August House Pays tribute to the resilience and courage of the Kashmiri men, women, and children who continue their just struggle for freedom and dignity, despite facing brutal oppression.

The provincial assembly also resolved to express full support with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and urged all peace-loving nations to stand by them in their rightful pursuit of freedom and justice.
