KARACHI (Kashmir English): The flight operations at Karachi Airport on Tuesday received disruption because of technical problems and operational issues, which caused multiple flight delays and resulted in five flight cancellations, according to airport sources.

The airport authorities reported that flight disruptions throughout the day created passenger inconveniences because they disrupted regular flight operations.

The officials recommended that travelers verify their flight status with airlines before arriving at the airport. The airlines continue to operate normally because there have been no new flight cancellations which they handle through their efforts to reduce operational disruptions.

PIA announces date for direct Lahore–London flights

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will restart its flights to London after a six-year break. The initial flight will arrive at its destination on March 29, which represents a significant achievement for the restoration of UK flight services.

PIA had already resumed UK routes with Manchester flights in 2025, after the ban was lifted. The UK, EU, and US governments imposed bans on the country because of the 2020 Karachi plane crash and the resulting pilot licensing issues from that incident.

PIA currently intends to increase its flight operations throughout the UK because of its new ownership and organizational changes, which include multiple weekly flights to London and Manchester.

The process of expansion will only proceed after the company achieves financial stability, yet the organization has established a clear objective that involves restoring PIA operations while rebuilding global confidence.
