LAHORE (Kashmir English): Former captain of the Pakistan Cricket team, Sarfaraz Ahmed, has been appointed as the head coach of the Pakistan Test cricket team.
According to sources, the official announcement of Sarfaraz Ahmed’s appointment will be made soon. Sarfaraz Ahmed will start his responsibilities in Pakistan’s Test series with Bangladesh.

The Pakistani team will play a 2-Test series against Bangladesh in May. The Test series against Bangladesh is part of the World Test Championship 2027. The first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will start on May 8, and the second Test match will start on May 16.

The post of coach of the Pakistan Test team was vacant, and Azhar Mahmood was the interim head coach in the series against South Africa.
