ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed a prominent businessman from Azad Kashmir, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, as the Coordinator on Tourism with immediate effect.
According to the notification, this appointment is in an honorary capacity.
“The Prime Minister has desired that all relevant stakeholders extend full cooperation to the Coordinator in discharging official business,” the notification read.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas is the brother of former Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, who has recently joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Earlier last month, Sardar Yasir Ilyas officially joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
