Saim Ayub loses top position in ICC’s latest Men’s T20I rankings

DUBAI (Kashmir English): The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday released the new T20I players’ rankings with Pakistan’s opening batter Sahibzada Farhan and spinner Usman Tariq rising in the rankings.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s Saim Ayub dropped to second place in ICC T20I all-rounders’ rankings, while Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza has reclaimed the top spot.

Mohammad Nawaz has slipped two places to ninth, Faheem Ashraf dropped two places to 52nd, and Salman Ali Agha has slipped to 53rd. Meanwhile, Shadab Khan has climbed four spots to 21st position.

T20I batters’ ranking

In the T20 batters’ ranking, India’s Abhishek Sharma maintains the first position, while Sahibzada Farhan has moved up two places to third position.

India’s Ishan Kishan has moved up three places to fifth. South Africa’s Dewald Brevis has moved up 10 places to ninth, while England’s Harry Brook has moved up 10 places to 18th.

Pakistan’s opening batter Saim Ayub has dropped three places to 34th, while Babar Azam has slipped to 36th position. Salman Ali Agha is down one place to 38th, and Fakhar Zaman has slipped to 88th.

Bowlers’ ranking

India’s Varun Chakraborty retains his top spot in the T20I bowlers rankings, while South Africa’s Corbin Bosch has moved up 21 places to third.

For Pakistan, spinner Abrar Ahmed has moved down two places to fifth with 712 rating points. Among the pacers, Salman Mirza has moved up one place to 18th and Shaheen Afridi four spots to 31st.

In one of the biggest gains, Usman Tariq has reached 55th by crossing 59 places. Spinner Sufiyan Muqeem has slipped 10 places to 60th. All-rounder Shadab Khan has risen 10 places to 65th.

Saim Ayub has also dropped 11 places to 66th, and pacer Haris Rauf to 81st by falling five spots.
