ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Naanbai Association has announced that roti and naan prices will remain unchanged until 30th Ramadan 2026, despite a sharp rise in the cost of flour, ghee, LPG, labor, electricity, and tandoor rents.

The General Council of the association made the decision, which includes members from Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Murree Talagang and nearby regions.

The meeting was conducted by Central President Shafiq Qureshi. The association announced that after Eid al-Fitr, prices will increase with roti and naan becoming Rs. 5 more expensive, while paratha and roghni naan will see a Rs. 10 increase.

The leadership stated that operational expenses at existing rates have reached their limit because input prices keep increasing. The association reported that flour bag prices have increased from Rs. 7,600 to Rs. 11,700 for a 79-kg bag, while fine flour prices have risen from Rs. 8,200 to Rs. 12,600.

Further increases of up to Rs. 2,200 per bag are expected by the end of Ramazan. Commercial LPG cylinder prices have increased to Rs. 16,000, and the expenses for labor and utilities have also grown significantly.

The association accused the district administration of not managing input prices, and they warned that ongoing pressure will lead to tandoor closures after Eid.
