MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Government of Punjab has released a special patriotic song titled ‘Hum Ko Kashmir Se Pyaar Hai’ (We Love Kashmir) to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day, following the release of song, titled ‘Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan’, from ISPR on the occasion.

This heartfelt tribute features the powerful vocals of Natasha Baig from Gilgit-Baltistan, alongside two distinguished singers from Quetta, Ghulam Ali Khan and Shahzaib Ali. Both were recipients of the Balochistan Excellence Award. Adding to the musical ensemble, Sindh’s Izhar Ali Abro, a talented singer and instrumentalist, also contributed his artistry.

The song’s depth is further enriched by the mesmerising Rabab melodies of Nawazish Nasiri from Peshawar and the beautiful tune-playing of Ali Imran. The addition of the traditional instrument, Rubab, in this heartfelt anthem, gives it a deeper Kashmiri touch.

The lyrics, were written by Ahmed Nawaz from Chakwal, Punjab. This song is a collaborative effort uniting artists from across Pakistan, serving as a collective message of solidarity with the people of Kashmir. It has been produced by East Media Communications and sponsored by the Punjab Government.

Earlier, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) also released a stirring anthem titled ‘Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan’ (Kashmir will become Pakistan) to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day. This anthem reaffirms Pakistan’s stance of unwavering support on Kashmir.

Renowned Pakistani singer Ahmed Jahanzeb lends his soulful voice to the anthem, while the music has been composed by Irfan Saleem and Kamran Khan. The lyrics, written by Imran Raza, encapsulate the resilience and unity shared by the people of Pakistan and Kashmir.

The anthem opens with an iconic speech by the late Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Geelani, where he declares, “Islamically, Pakistan is ours, and we are Pakistan.” His words are followed by the Kashmiri people’s chants for freedom, as they stand steadfast on their stance of unification with Pakistan.

This powerful anthem stands as a testament to Pakistan’s enduring commitment to Kashmir’s cause. It echoes the belief that one day, Kashmir will become a part of Pakistan, strengthening the bond between the two.

These anthems hold great significance as they are an emotional and powerful expression of the witnessed patriotism and solidarity in the people of Kashmir. Such anthems unite voices from different regions. Through music, not only the emotions and aspirations of the nation are captured, but it is also a reinforcement of the unwavering support to the Kashmiri brethren and a witness of the atrocities they have to face.
