ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the federal government has announced a public holiday on February 05, 2026, to observe Kashmir Day nationwide.
According to the official holiday notification issued by the Cabinet Division, all public and private schools will remain closed on February 05, 2026.
The people of Pakistan and Kashmiris around the world commemorate 5th February each year as Kashmir Solidarity Day. They reiterate their persistent support and send a loud and clear message to the world that Kashmiris are not alone in their struggle against the occupying forces.
As per the details, this day joins other national public holidays, including Pakistan Day (March 23) and Independence Day (August 14).
