Hattian Bala (Kashmir English): A grand and historic reception was held in Jhelum Valley to welcome Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Vice President and Legislative Assembly candidate, Syed Zeeshan Haider, along with other detainees following their successful protest and honourable release today.
PTI workers immediately started slogans for Imran Khan, Qayyum Niazi, and Zeeshan Haider. Party flags and banners have been decorated along the streets of Hattian Bala, giving a festivity look to it. In the list of released are Syed Zeeshan Haider, Asif Mughal, Sahibzada Imran Pazeer, Zain Gilani Advocate, Khateebullah Khan, Raja Azad, Hammad Kazmi, Chanzeeb Kayani, Kashi Ghakkar, among others.
Thousands of PTI workers and people showered flowers and petals on released leaders. In this regard, after the warm welcome, an official reception ceremony was arranged in the Insaf Secretariat and Adalat Bazaar, Hattian Bala, where hundreds of PTI workers and leadership were present.
During the ceremony, different leaders addressed the gathering, such as Syed Zeeshan Haider, Asif Mughal, Sahibzada Imran Pazeer, Khateebullah Khan, Chairman Municipality & City President Mumtaz Sheikh, Waseem Tareen, Waqar Sheikh, Hamza Mir, Basharat Chichi, Amanullah Khan, Aftab Khan, Chaudhry Nazakat, Tasveer Naqvi, Zahoor Naqvi, Usama Munir, Kamran Kanwal Kayani, and Quratul Ain.
The speakers felicitated the PTI workers for a successful protest and reiterated support for the principled stance of the party. They also denounced the alleged rigging in the February 8 elections as it was an electoral mandate snatched in front of the entire world. They will continue the struggle till the restoration of the mandate, the release of Imran Khan, and oppression comes to an end.
Addressing the crowd, Syed Zeeshan Haider appreciated the PTI workers for standing firm against oppression and proving that the voice of truth cannot be silenced. He emphasized that under Imran Khan’s leadership, PTI is fighting for democracy, justice, and the rights of the people, and this struggle will continue at all costs.
The event ended with a strong display of unity, where the workers of PTI promised to stand behind Imran Khan’s narrative. The speakers also announced that in the coming days, the movement would be further strengthened and organised to ensure that the people’s mandate is restored and justice is delivered to Imran Khan.
It was a grand reception and gathering not only for the popularity of PTI but also for a clear message that people are against oppression and committed to the victory of truth and justice.
