LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is gearing up for a major transformation in its 11th edition, known as PSL 11, which is set to take place in April–May 2026 instead of the usual February–March window.
According to recent updates, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to expand PSL 11 from six to eight teams, marking the league’s first major expansion since the Multan Sultans joined in 2018.
According to reports, the extended format will also bring more venues and additional matches, aiming to increase fan engagement across the country. The inclusion of new teams is expected to inject fresh talent and rivalries into the league.
Shifting PSL 11 to a later window in the year is also a strategic move. It allows better alignment with the international cricket calendar, giving overseas players a better chance to participate without schedule conflicts.
The move is also expected to help align the league more effectively with international cricket calendars and open up broader opportunities for foreign player participation.
This expansion and rescheduling show that the PSL is looking to grow not just in size but also in quality. Fans can expect a bigger, better, and more exciting PSL 11 in 2026.
More details on the new teams and commercial deals are expected to be revealed by the PCB in the coming months.
