PSL 11: How many matches does each team need to win to qualify for playoffs?

LAHORE (Kashmir English): The third phase of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 will resume in Lahore today (Tuesday).

Two teams Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars have arrived in Lahore while matches will be played among 6 teams for three spots for the playoff stage.

To secure a spot in the final four, Multan Sultans must win 1 out of 3 matches, while Islamabad United must win 2 out of 3 matches.

Hyderabad Kingsmen, Lahore Qalandars, and Karachi Kings need to win all their remaining matches, while for Quetta Gladiators, the situation is difficult as they not only need to win matches but also wait for others to lose.

Peshawar Zalmi has already secured a spot in the playoff stage, while the Rawalpindies team have become the first team to be eliminated from the event.

PSL points table

Looking at the PSL points table, after the completion of 29 matches, Peshawar Zalmi, who has been undefeated so far, is at the top with 15 points after 7 wins in 8 matches and one match being washed out due to rain, while Peshawar Zalmi got one point when rain washed out their match against Islamabad United.

Multan Sultans are in second place with 10 points after 5 wins and 2 losses in 7 matches, while Islamabad United is in third position with 9 points after 4 wins and 2 losses in 7 matches.

Thus, Quetta Gladiators, who are in fourth position on the points table, have accumulated 6 points after 3 wins and 5 losses in their 8 matches.

Similarly, Hyderabad is in fifth place with 6 points after 3 wins and 4 losses in 7 matches, defending champions Lahore Qalandars are in sixth place with 6 points after 3 wins and 4 losses in 7 matches, and Karachi Kings team is also in seventh position with 6 points after 3 wins and 4 losses in 7 matches.

In addition, the Rawalpindies team, which is at the bottom, has not yet opened its winning account in the season and is in eighth place.
