LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Foreign player registration for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has begun, with the tournament set to begin on March 26.
The announcement was made via the league’s PSL social media page, which also stated that the last date for registration is February 3.
The historic 11th edition of the PSL will see the league expanded to eight teams, with Hyderabad and Sialkot joining as new franchises.

For the first time, instead of drafting players, the league will have an auction, which is expected to take place on February 11.
At the auction workshop held on Sunday, the PSL administration presented a detailed overview of the reservation and auction process and engaged all franchises in a discussion on the matter.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also released details of the base prices and minimum additional bids in Pakistani rupees for players ahead of the auction.
Each squad will consist of 16 to 20 players, including 5 to 7 foreign players, while the playing XI will have 3 to 4 foreign players.
PSL 11 base prices
Earlier, the base prices of the players for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 player auction have been officially announced.
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, specially attended the detailed workshop on the PSL 11 player auction.
The PSL 11 player auction will be held on February 11, during which players’ base prices and bids will be quoted in Pakistani rupees.
According to the announcement, the base price in the PSL 11 player auction for the top category players is Rs 42 million, for the second category is Rs 22 million, and for the third category is Rs 11 million.
Similarly, the base price of the fourth category players has been set at Rs 6 million.
It will be mandatory for each franchise to form a squad consisting of a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 20 players.
The squad will be able to include 5 to 7 foreign players, while the inclusion of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 foreign players in the playing XI has been made mandatory.
It will be necessary for each team to include 2 under-23 uncapped players in the squad, while the inclusion of an under-23 player in the playing XI has also been made mandatory.
The players selected through the auction will be given a 2-year contract.
The PCB has also given the franchises the option to sign a foreign player directly, which will facilitate the teams in further strengthening their squads.
