MIRPUR (Kashmir English): President Azad Kashmir, in his Eid message, extended greetings to the Muslim Ummah, emphasised unity and compassion, expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people, and reaffirmed hopes for their right to self-determination.

On the joyful occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry conveyed heartfelt greetings to the entire Muslim community about the festival, which symbolizes both unity and love in order to preserve the worldwide religious identity of Muslims. The president underlined that Eid celebrates both selfless care and dedication.

President Chaudhry delivered a message where he stated Eid fosters concepts of simplicity and contentment alongside brotherhood. The president emphasized how people must help individuals struggling from difficulties with particular focus on those experiencing hardship.

The President showed disapproval that the Kashmiris have to experience Indian occupation since August 5th 2019, which continues to the present day during their fight for self-determination. As he backed the Kashmiri people, he affirmed that factual freedom through justice would eventually guide the region to gain its independence.

The President declared India’s occupation would end because a day was coming when its military forces would have to leave, giving Kashmiris the power to establish their political fate based on United Nations Security Council (UNSC) mandates.

President Chaudhry emphasised the deep-rooted cultural, geographical, economic, and spiritual ties between Kashmir and Pakistan, noting that history stands as evidence of Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri cause. He affirmed that the Kashmiri people remain steadfast in their resolve and are prepared to make any sacrifice for Pakistan.

Concluding his message, he urged people to remember and extend support to those struggling with poverty, illness, and other difficulties on this holy occasion of Eid.
