RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): Leader of the Jammu Kashmir People’s Youth Organization, Sardar Saqib Farooq, has underscored the need for youth’s participation in nation building.
“Youth are the backbone of any country. No country can develop without including the youth in the mainstream,” he said at a meeting of the Jammu Kashmir People’s Youth Organization (PYO) in Rawalakot.
He told the participants that whenever the PPP got the opportunity, it played a full role for the welfare of youth and women. It gave full representation to the youth, he added.
“The PPP gave tickets to a large number of youths in the last election, most of whom also won.”
Tribute to PPP leadership
He appreciated PPP co-founder Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari for his approach towads youth, saying he wants to take youngsters along for the development of the country.
The meeting of the People’s Youth Rawalakot was held under the chairmanship of Sardar Saqib Farooq. An iftar dinner was also organized. A large number of youths attended the meeting and paid tribute to Nazaria-e-Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
The meeting also passed several resolutions to express confidence in the leadership of party’s senior leadership, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari, In-charge Pakistan People’s Party Azad Kashmir Ms. Faryal Talpur, senior leader Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chaudhry Riaz, President Pakistan Peoples’ Party Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, Secretary General Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, former President and Prime Minister Sardar Muhammad Yaqub Khan, former President PPP Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Latif Akbar, and former information Minister Abid Hussain Abid.
The meeting congratulated the party leadership on the establishment of various committees formed by the party for the reorganization of the district organizations.
They also congratulated the party on the formation of the merit-based organization of PPP City Rawalakot Constituency No. 4 and PPP Tehsil Rawalakot.
The meeting demanded of the committee that the organization of PYO Azad Kashmir should be formed soon with the inclusion of ideological youth.
