BAHAWALPUR (Kashmir English): Malik Munir Iqbal Channar of the PML-N has won the by-election for the NA-168 Bahawalpur constituency.
Polling for the by-election in Bahawalpur’s NA-168 constituency took place on Sunday, continuing uninterrupted from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Unofficial and provisional results from all 292 polling stations in the constituency indicate that PML-N’s Malik Munir Iqbal Channar secured victory by obtaining 79,306 votes.
Independent candidate Wali Dad Cheema finished second, securing 42,623 votes.
It is worth noting that this seat had become vacant following the demise of MNA Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar.
