PMLN Azad Kashmir moves to Strengthen ranks by engaging key figures

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Important decisions were taken in the meeting of the PML-N Azad Kashmir under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Pakistan’s Political Affairs Advisor Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Maqam and Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf.

The meeting was attended by PML-N Azad Kashmir President Shah Ghulam Qadir, former Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, Raja Mushtaq Minhas, Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Dr. Najeeb Naqi and Barrister Iftikhar Gilani.

The leaders of the PML-N Azad Kashmir took the federal ministers and advisors to the Prime Minister into confidence on various issues. Important decisions were made and responsibilities were assigned to the relevant leaders for their implementation.

According to sources, the meeting discussed the joining of new people in the party and the election strategy and an important press conference is also expected from the PML-N Azad Kashmir after today, Friday.

The participants of the meeting welcomed Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan’s formal joining of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Azad Jammu and Kashmir and expressed the expectation that he will play an important role in strengthening the party.

Notably, the political atmosphere in Azad Kashmir has been quite heated since the recent days when former Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas joined the PPP along with his colleagues.

The members of the Tehreek-e-Insaf Forward Block are ready to take flight and efforts are being made by the PPP and PML-N to join them.

State President Barrister Sultan Mahmood have also been consulted to  settled with the PPP but he has not joined yet.
