LAHORE (Kashmir English): Mustafa Malik, Central Secretary Information and spokesperson for PML-Q, has clarified that Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has not become the Chairman of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation.
In a statement, the PML-Q spokesperson said that Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s political stature and position are very high, and he does not need such positions.
Earlier, Tariq Hassan, President of the Bodybuilding Federation, met with Chaudhry Shujaat. He is also the party’s Secretary General, said the spokesperson for PML-Q. That fueled speculations that Ch. Shujaat has become president of the Bodybuilding Federation.
Mustafa Malik said that Tariq Hassan-led delegation, during the meeting, informed Ch. Shujaat about their issues and achievements.
Chaudhry Shujaat served as President Kabaddi Federation
The spokesperson said that Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has served as the President of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation. Now, his son, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, is the President of the Federation, and under Chaudhry Shafay Hussain’s leadership, Pakistan inflicted a historic defeat on India in the World Cup.
Mustafa Malik said that Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and his family have always played a prominent role in promoting sports.
Regarding the news about Chaudhry Shujaat becoming the Chairman of the Bodybuilding Federation, Malik said that the content of the news is incorrect, and a literal error has been misinterpreted.
