Muzaffarabad (Kashmir Digital): The Pakistan Muslim League Noon (PML-N) councilor, social leader, and businessman Rashid Awan Zargar has announced the plans to construct Neelum Park soon after some legal issues hindering the process are resolved.

In an interview with Kashmir Digital, Rashid Awan Zargar said that the application I had submitted to the mayor said that there are some legal issues, the companies that were given the lease should wait.

He said that the area of Neelum Park was dedicated as a park in 1987, and the park was constructed, which was destroyed in the flood of 1992. Many governments have come and gone after 1992, but this park has not been constructed yet.

The councilor said that he wanted people to be provided with tourism facilities. It was the best place for families. The matter was on high alert during Ramadan.

There were rumors among the people that someone would get this area allotted to them. Amid the conflict, I thought of building a park.

In response to a question, he said that if the direction is correct and NAB is good, then it is not difficult to build a park. I am a social worker, I will start the work at the park.

My friends are distant, the citizens of Muzaffarabad are ready to support me, but at present, no one has assured me of cooperation.

In response to another question, he said that after winning the election, they said that I am not a Kashmiri, Alhamdulillah I am a Kashmiri, all the evidence is there. I won because of social work.

My parents have been living here since 1947, I have a state subject; if someone says anything, then say it. I am working for the sake of Allah.

He said that he will use the municipality’s machinery for the park. He said that he has never been politically inclined. He is a social worker. He will not contest any elections now.

The PML-N councilor said that all the workers are unhappy with the PML-N being in the government, and the public is also unhappy with it.
