ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast widespread rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms across Pakistan from March 24 to March 30, with intermittent breaks, as a strong western weather system moves into the country.
The Met Office predicts a western disturbance will start moving into southwestern Balochistan on the evening of March 24. The disturbance will become stronger until March 27 night and continue its effects until March 31, which will result in unstable weather conditions throughout the country.
Balochistan to See Heavy Rain and Hail
The system will bring rain and thunderstorms together with isolated heavy downpours that include hail to Multiple districts throughout Balochistan, which extends to coastal regions including Gwadar, Pasni, and Ormara, from March 24 to March 25 and again from March 27 to March 29.
Punjab and Islamabad to Receive Showers
The cities of Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan, together with other areas of Punjab, will experience rain and thunderstorms from March 25 to March 26 and again from March 28 to March 30.
The same weather patterns that will affect Islamabad will also affect the tourist areas of Murree and the Galiyat. Sindh, including Karachi, to get rainfall. The cities of Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur in Sindh will experience rain and thunderstorms that may include hail between March 25 and 26 and from March 28 to 29.

Rain, Snowfall in the hills of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will experience rain-wind thunderstorms that will start on the night of March 25 and continue until the morning of March 26.
The hilly areas of Chitral, Swat, and Kohistan will experience snowfall. The period from March 28 to 30 will bring another intense rainfall period, with isolated hailstorm activity expected to occur. Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir will experience rain and snow, together with landslide danger.
