ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, calling him a “Man of Peace”.
The announcement was made during a joint press conference held after the signing of the Gaza peace agreement, which was attended by a large number of world leaders.
The Prime Minister said that President Trump’s leadership and tireless diplomatic efforts have played a significant role in promoting peace around the world, especially in South Asia and the Middle East, where his intervention has averted several serious conflicts.
On this occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said that if it were not for President Trump’s timely diplomatic efforts, an apocalypse would have occurred in South Asia. He said that the four-day war was prevented by the intervention of the US President, which saved millions of lives.
The heads of the United States, Qatar, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt also attended the Gaza peace agreement. After this historic signing ceremony, there is hope for an end to the bloody conflicts that have been going on in the Middle East for decades.
In his speech, President Donald Trump praised the role of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and said that the role played by Pakistan in promoting peace is commendable.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further said that President Trump played a role in stopping eight different wars around the world, including in the Middle East, South Asia, and conflicts in Africa. He said that the leadership of the US President is unparalleled, and the world needs similar leadership today. That is why we nominate him again for the Nobel Peace Prize, because he truly deserves it.
Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated the efforts of the regional leadership, especially the Emir of Qatar, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, King Abdullah of Jordan, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt. He said that the joint strategy of these leaders played a key role in establishing peace in the region.
On the other hand, President Trump thanked Shehbaz Sharif for his tribute and said that he wanted to promote peace and friendship between Pakistan and India, because lasting peace in South Asia is the guarantee of development.
The international community is seeing this agreement as a major diplomatic success. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s re-nomination of President Trump for the Nobel Prize is a sign of Pakistan’s recognition of the US role in promoting peace on the global stage.
