MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): A quarterly development review meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, in which the Prime Minister directed the ministers and secretaries to monitor the development projects.
According to the details, the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Anwarul Haq was attended by the Most Senior Minister Col. (retd) Waqar Ahmed Kanur, Mian Abdul Waheed, Azhar Sadiq, Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid, Nisar Ansar Abdali, and others.
In the meeting, the secretaries of the relevant departments gave a sector-wise briefing about their respective departments.
Addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister said that to ensure the timely completion of the ongoing development projects of all other departments, including local government and Rural Development, Works, Power, Public Health, Education, Physical Planning, and Housing, the ministers and secretaries of the projects should ensure effective monitoring.
The government is paying special attention to projects of public interest, steps should be taken for the timely and correct use of development funds.
He said that the improvement of road infrastructure in Azad Kashmir will not only provide ease of travel facilities to the people, but also promote tourism and ensure payment of mature liabilities.
The Prime Minister said that the process of payment of dues should also be completed as soon as possible, steps are being taken to make the health system effective, steps will continue to be taken for good governance, and savings are a priority.
He said that the steps taken by the current government to eradicate corruption are unprecedented in the past, and negligence and carelessness in the completion of projects will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
