MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has provided new single-cabin 4×4 vehicles to multiple police stations across the state to enhance their efficiency.
The ceremony was held at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat in Muzaffarabad, which was attended by senior officials, including Most Senior Minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmed Noor and DIG Police Irfan Masood Kashfi.
As per the details, single-cabin 4×4 vehicles of the 2025 model have been provided to 33 police stations each, while 2024 model single-cabin 4×4 vehicles have been given to 19 other police stations.
The premier handed over the keys of the newly purchased vehicles to DIG Police Irfan Masood Kashfi, who also briefed him on the increase in police efficiency after the inclusion of new vehicles in the police transport fleet.
The Prime Minister said that police infrastructure has been improved, and new 4×4 single-cabin vehicles have been provided in 56 police stations during the last two years.
Addressing the occasion, he further said that the government created 1300 new posts to meet the shortage of manpower in the police department, for which appointments will be made under the rules.
The Prime Minister emphasized that maintaining law and order is the responsibility of the state and that providing a conducive environment for work and necessities is essential. “The police force is the pride of the state, and ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property is a top priority.”
