LEEPA VALLEY (Kashmir English): Landline, mobile, and internet services in Leepa Valley were restored today after being disrupted since yesterday due to heavy snowfall and extreme weather, leaving residents completely cut off.

Communication services resumed their operation in Leepa Valley following a suspension which started the previous day because of excessive snowfall combined with severe weather conditions. The region suffered immense distress because the disruptions separated them from the rest of Pakistan.

Internet and telephone connections remained unavailable throughout Leepa Valley, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) starting from the day before when all telephone services ceased operations. The inability to communicate caused families serious distress because they needed to care for relatives during this challenging winter season.

The snow and blocked roads separated Leepa Valley from the rest of Pakistan further when the telecommunication services stopped working. The valley remained disconnected from the rest of the country because its land and air transportation links were obstructed. The population remained completely cut off because their access to outside and situational updates terminated in their immediate environment.

The residents talked to local sources about their mental strain because they remained cut off from their families and outside world without phone or internet services in Leepa Valley. People demanded from authorities to put forward preventive measures which would avoid communication breakdowns specifically in adverse weather situations where reliable communication channels become fundamental.

Residents achieved relief when telecommunications services were restored during the afternoon after an entire day of disruption. People across the area began connecting with their families through essential communications, which significantly decreased the daily mounting stress of the previous twenty-four hours.

The people demand that authorities develop better emergency telecommunication plans which guarantee continuous service, even during severe winter conditions. The people stressed the need for continuous connection services in areas like Leepa Valley because such weather-related challenges must be addressed more efficiently in the upcoming time.
