ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Crude oil prices in international markets have jumped over the last 13 days, which may result in an increase in petrol prices in Pakistan’s local market.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is set to review on August 31 for the probable rise in prices.
British Brent crude shifted to $67.47 from $65.85, while American crude oil jumped from $61.98 to $63.62.
This consistent rise in the global market is expected to reflect on Pakistan’s petroleum product prices in the days to come.
Petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan today
The price of high-speed diesel has been cut by Rs 12.84 per liter, as per a notification by the Ministry of Finance, and this offers relief to consumers in terms of considerable savings.
The new rate of high-speed diesel has been set to Rs 272.99. The rate of petrol per liter is still Rs 264.61. The new rate of kerosene oil has been set at Rs 178.27 per liter. The new rate of light diesel oil has been set to Rs 162.37 per liter.
The announcement informs that the kerosene price has been cut down by Rs 7.19 per liter, and an Rs 8.20 per liter cut has been made in the price of light diesel oil.
