People of Pakistan and Kashmir are ‘two bodies with one soul’, says PM AJK on Pakistan’s Independence Day

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, said that the people of Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir are two bodies with one soul.

He was addressing the central ceremony organized on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day and to celebrate Marak-e-Haq in Muzaffarabad.

The ceremony was attended by Speaker AJK Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Most Senior Minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmed Noor, government ministers, former Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, Leader of the Opposition Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, Chief Secretary AJK Khushal Khan, senior civil and military officials, and a large number of citizens.

A police contingent presented a guard of honor to Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, who was the special guest at the ceremony.

He paid tribute to the martyrs of the Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement and said that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

The premier said that Pakistan was established on the basis of the universal ideology of Islam and that the country came into existence due to the boundless grace and mercy of Allah Almighty.

He added that the people of Pakistan have always supported the Kashmiris and that the struggle for Kashmir is as strong as ever.

“The homecoming campaign against Muslims in India, government-sponsored demolition of mosques, discriminatory laws, and violence against Muslims are proving the validity of the two-nation theory.
