LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a show-cause notice to the selection committee over the selection of cricketers Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq in the Test squad for West Indies and England tours.
According to the notice issued on August 31, the committee members were asked to provide a written explanation of the basis and rationale for selecting the two players.
The notice clarified that a “written explanation must include the relevant selection criteria, performance considerations, and any other factors taken into account during the selection process.”
“The explanation should clearly outline the reasons for their selection and the process followed in arriving at the final decision,” the notice stated.
Furthermore, the PCB directed the selection committee members to submit a written explanation within 24 hours of receipt of this notice. “The response must clearly and unequivocally address each of the matters set out herein.”
Therefore, they were advised to treat the notice as urgent and of utmost importance and ensure strict compliance within the stipulated timeframe.
